Long-term parking at Schiphol
If you go away for three weeks or even longer, the parking costs add up considerably. For a long period in particular it pays to look carefully, because providers build up their prices very differently. This page therefore shows the total price for 21 days of parking at Schiphol, so you can see roughly what a longer trip costs.
Why the price per day drops
Many providers charge a higher amount for the first days and a lower amount for each extra day after that. On a long trip you therefore pay less per day on average than on a short one. But the difference between providers can be greater over a long period than over a short one: a provider that is good value for a week need not be so for three weeks. So always look at the total price for your own period. Enter your drop-off and pick-up time for the price of your days.
Long periods and how prices are built up
For longer periods providers apply different rules, for example a fixed amount per extra day after the first week or a maximum parking duration. So check with the offer how the price for your period is made up and read the provider's conditions before you book.
Tips for a long trip
- Check whether the provider has a maximum parking duration.
- Do not leave valuables visible in the car.
- Think about your battery: a car that has been standing still for weeks may struggle to start when you return. Ask whether the provider can help with this if needed.
- With an electric car: check whether there is a charging point and how charging is paid for.
- Read the cancellation terms, because on a long trip plans are sometimes still changing.
Valet or shuttle on a long trip
On a long trip you often have more luggage with you. Valet parking can be convenient then, because you get out right at the terminal. Shuttle parking is sometimes better value for long periods, but that differs per provider and per period. The list shows the type of parking and the transfer time for each provider. On our pages about valet parking and shuttle parking at Schiphol you will find more about both options.
What you see before you book
Before you book you see the total price and the provider's conditions. Check in the confirmation that the right dates and times are shown, especially on a long trip with an early or late flight.
