Who we are

Company details to follow

The company name, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number, address, telephone number, VAT number and e-mail address of Flyparkeren will be listed here before the website officially goes live.

Flyparkeren is a website on which you can compare parking providers at Dutch airports. In this privacy statement we explain which personal data we process, why we do so and which rights you have. We deliberately keep it limited: we do not collect more than we need.

Who is responsible?

Flyparkeren is the controller for the personal data processed through this website. Our company details are shown at the top of this page.

Searching and comparing

When you search, we use the airport and your travel dates to calculate prices. That search is kept in your browser's address bar, so you can share or save it. We do not store your searches and do not link them to you.

Clicking through to a provider

If you click a button to go to a provider, that click passes through our server. We then record:

  • which offer and airport you viewed and which travel dates you had entered;
  • the page you came from and any campaign codes in the link (UTM codes);
  • an anonymous session code, without a name or e-mail address;
  • your IP address, but only hashed: we store an irreversible code, not the address itself.

We use this data to see which providers visitors find interesting, to prevent abuse and to settle accounts with providers and affiliate networks if you book with them. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a service that works well and securely. If a provider supports it, we pass your travel dates in the link so you do not have to enter them again; with an affiliate link we also pass a click code so a booking can be attributed to us. For other providers we only open their website and you enter your travel dates there again. Each offer shows which applies. Whatever you enter at the provider afterwards is covered by that provider's privacy statement.

Account

You can use Flyparkeren without an account. If you do create an account, we process your e-mail address, your name if you provide it, an encrypted (hashed) version of your password, your favourites and your settings. We do this in order to provide your account. You can export your data and delete your account.

Applying as a partner

If you apply as a partner as a parking provider, we process the details you enter in the application form: company name, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number, contact person's name, email address, phone number, the airports where you offer parking and your additional information. We use these details to assess your application, contact you and administer the partnership. If your application is approved, we create a partner account for you. We keep the details for as long as needed for these purposes and delete them at your request.

Cookies and local storage

We only use functional cookies and local storage: for your language choice, your preference for a light or dark theme and, if you are logged in, your session. We use no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking; our visitor statistics work without cookies (see below). You can read more about this in our cookie policy.

Visitor statistics

To see how the website is used, we count page views and a few steps of the booking process on our own server: searching, viewing an offer and opening the booking form. We use no cookies for this and store nothing in your browser. We only keep daily totals: the page (a number such as a booking reference is replaced by a placeholder), the language, the type of device (mobile, tablet or computer), the domain name of the website you came from and any campaign codes in the link. We do not keep your IP address, your full browser details or anything you fill in for this, so these figures cannot be traced back to you. If Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is switched on in your browser, we do not count your visit. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a well-functioning website.

Contact and customer service

If you ask a question through the contact form, we process your name, your e-mail address, the topic, your message and, if you enter it, your booking reference. We only use these details to answer your question. You receive an e-mail with a personal link where you read our answer and can reply. If your question is about the parking service itself, we may forward it to the provider of your booking. We keep the messages as long as needed to handle your question and answer follow-up questions.

Sharing with others

We do not sell your data. We only share it with parties that help us run the website, such as our hosting provider, and only as far as necessary. We make agreements with those parties about protecting your data.

How long do we keep data?

We do not keep data longer than necessary for the purposes above. We keep account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete your account data and favourites.

Security

We protect your data with appropriate measures. We only store passwords hashed, use an encrypted connection and only give access to data to people who need it for their work.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or to have it deleted. You can also object to the processing or ask for your data to be transferred. To do so, send a message to the e-mail address at the top of this page; we respond within the period set by the GDPR. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

If we change this privacy statement, you will see it from the date at the top of this page.
